How Athletes Become Involved

Targeted Athlete Program – Slalom /Wildwater ( ELITE STREAM)

Open to Participants aged 12 and over, who are focused on developing in this sport to a high level. The TAP program is for developing  athletes who are interested in nominating to National teams in the next few years. The program provides access to Sports nutrition, Sports Psychology, Training, Training Programs, Elite Coaching, camps and overseas training trips. Weekly training will involve 1-2 coached sessions per week and athletes are expected to train an additional 3-4 sessions, plus designated camps. Cost is $1000 annually

Intensive training program – Slalom/Wildwater / Freestyle / Extreme Racing/ Coast to Coast ( FAMILY / ADVENTURE RACING OR ELITE STREAM)

The intensive training program is targeted at athletes at any age who are committed to developing in their sport. The program provides access to Sports nutrition, Sports Psychology, Training sessions, High performance Coaching and interstate camps. Weekly training will involve 1-2 coached sessions per week, plus designated camps. The IT program is targeted at those interested in pursuing this sport to a high level in later years. Cost is $850 annually

Weekly training – Fitness based ( ELITE / ADVENTURE RACING/ FAMILY)
CPRT members are able to come to weekly training sessions to improve their fitness and boat handling skills. Sessions run a couple of times a week and are mainly fitness based. Most sessions take place at Westerfolds Park or in the city limits. Cost is $200 per term, or $800 annually.Casual Training and camps ( ELITE / ADVENTURE RACING/ FAMILY)
We also offer training camps revolving around specific disciplines, such as freestyle, wildwater, polo and raft racing. We also offer river trips and surf days throughout the year.River Trips, Surf days and Outdoor Camps ( ELITE / ADVENTURE RACING/ FAMILY)

We regularly offer river trips and camps to remote rivers such as the Mitchell, Mitta or Thomson. River Trips are available to all based on skill level and can range from Beginner trips on the Yarra or Big River, to fairly extreme such as the Mitta or Snowy.
